Y'all. ONE WEEK LEFT!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHH! We are so so grateful and excited about the trajectory of our campaign so far. But we could still use your help.
We have a few more stretch goals, just waiting to be unlocked. The next one is a module set on Capital's Train called Training Day. This module (written by me!) is easily expandable to fit however much time you have at the table.
Additionally! We'll be unlocked TWO more God For A Day reward levels *today*, so if you've been wanting to get your character illustrated and printed in the final book now is your chance!

Hey, y'all!
We have just unlocked out first stretch goal!! Backers will have access to a full length module (complete with beautiful art by Tinnel Lovitt) called "I'm not NOT licking toads," that will be added as a PDF to all pledges that are set to receive print or digital versions of The Crowned. It's set in Tumelbell Park, a district of The Shining Garden which was the site of ritual gone awry. Shenanigans are in your future, and we are so thankful to all of you for helping make it happen! Here's a little art preview of what we've just opened up!
Speaking of we....I think it's time we introduce the team a bit!
The Crowned is being made by five people (a small but mighty quintet!!).
For this update, I'd like to focus on the folk who are not me or Damon...you get enough of us.
All of the gorgeous artwork is created by Tinnel Lovitt. Tinnel is the GenConTv Art Director and World of Chaldea Assistant Art Director & Production Artist. She is a dark fantasy illustrator with a passion for traditional ink work and exploring a variety of media both digital and traditional. Her resume boasts traditional printmaking including intaglio, lithography, and wood block carving. She's done digital sculpting, modeling, and uv unwrapping/texturing. Tinnel firmly believes the more she expands creatively, the less the toolset matters. Working for the Crowned has allowed her to marry her passion for traditional work with exploring digital painting techniques, coming up with a balance that carries over the handmade look and feel of the work.
Jeff Moore is our layout artist. As with most things in my life, I hand him a pile of words, pictures, and vague gestures and he turns it into something readable and beautiful. Jeff has been playing games nonstop since childhood, but got serious about it when he was about 20 years old and started running his first tabletop RPGs. A filmmaker, multimedia producer, and storyteller at heart, Jeff finds a tremendous amount of joy in creating the perfect game for how he loves to play them. He's gone through a lot of creative jobs, making him uniquely qualified to layout the pages of The Crowned.
Editing the excessive use of commas and dashes falls to Zola Hartley. Zola is a queer, feminist editor who specializes in fantasy, sci-fi, and romance. She lives in Seattle with her husband and their cats who do not yet outnumber them, but she has goals for them to do so. Her first table top game was Dungeons and Dragons with Damon led by their mother when she was five, and even though Damon was bigger and knew more about games, he still let her kick the doors down first.

I am so incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support that the RPG community has shown us and our game in the last few days. I could spend so long expressing my gratitude, but I find myself at a loss for words. Just know that we couldn’t have done this without you and I can’t thank you enough. And here we are, already halfway to our first Stretch Goal!!

We both invaded Roll with Rem Alternis last night! Rem interviewed us on Rules of Cool and then we did a one shot of The Crowned on The One-Shot Show! Which got….messy and weird, in the best way possible.

So what's next? Stretch goals, that's what!
We've got heaps of stretch goals planned and we're already well on our way to opening up that first one! Since we began playtesting The Crowned, we've been fortunate this past year to do so at both GenCon and Pacificon. At each of those conventions we ran a one-shot of the game which turned out to be so enjoyable that we just knew they needed to be bigger.
So our first two stretch goals will be those one-shots expanded out! If we hit those goals you'll all be getting PDFs of "I'm Not Not Licking Toads" and "Training Day," as proper modules, complete with art and Storyteller advice, for free! We had an incredible time with these adventures. We know you'll love answering the questions "How big can a toad actually be?" and "Who is really in charge of this heist?"
